June 11, 2011 - The Wedding of Elise & John Raffaele at The Grandview

There are not many words you can say about the Hudson Valley Wedding of Elise and John! We were so excited since they were both so outgoing and partiersl John being a police officer & Elise being a teacher! Between the bride and groom, and their entire bridal party was a blast to work with! The dance floor was packed for the entire night! They had the Ambient Towers, Gobo/Monogram, Uplighting and so much more at the Grandview Indoor Ballroom for their Hudson Valley Wedding and we were so pleased that they chose us to be the entertainers! We also had a blast working with Vivian from Vivian Photography!

Wedding Season has started... Christina & Mark!

What a night for a Thursday Night wedding at The Grandview! Christina and Mark kicked off Enriquez Entertainment's wedding season with a touch of elegance and a big bang! What a great party from the start! People were ready to go on a Thursday night and shake the winter blues away! Uplighting the entire Grandview Ballroom in Christina's color purple was incredible. We highly recommend uplighting for your upcoming Hudson Valley Wedding!

The Hudson Valley's Most Dynamic DJ's were out for an amazing winter wedding at the  Poughkeepsie Grand Hotel! Every last detail was accounted for and the weather held off (Jan was a rough month). Mike & Drew threw one crazy wedding party for Tara & Ricky's wedding! What a blast! It was an amazing Hudson Valley Wedding with a great dancing crowd from the get go! The Black Eye Peas "The Time" was a huge hit and the theme for Tara & Ricky! 6th & 7th Grade Dance - Hudson Valley's Most Dynamic Party DJ's & Services 3/19/10

Van Wyck Jr. High School was the place to be late Friday afternoon/early Friday evening as the student body was ready to party St. Patrick's Day style! What a blast we have with these kids every time out! From all the participation dances like the Cha Cha Slide, Cotton Eye Joe, Cupid Shuffle to the latest hits from the radio these kids love to party and dance! We can't wait for the 8th grade formal next month! Big hits of the night varied from Journey's "Don't Stop Believin'" to the New Boyz! 

It's Amazing that this song continues to rock generation after generation!

As always we had a blast with the kids & staff and cannot wait to party again!

Debbie's Suprise 40th Birthday Party! 3/13/10 - Hudson Valley Party DJ's

The question we were wondering was whether or not the party would still be a surprise to Debbie or whether or not she had an inkling of what was going on! We must say that her family did an outstanding job as Debbie had no clue that she would be partying with all of her close friends and family at Uno's in Poughkeepsie on a rainy Saturday night. The weather didn't cause problems though as the Hudson Valley's Most Dynamic Party DJ's were out and about! It was a party from the get go, with Debbie's favorite artist Bon Jovi takin' over! By the end of the night, everyone was dancing and singing on the microphone! We can't remember a better rendition of Meatloaf's "Paradise by the Dashboard Light" than what the party-goers did that night! Until next time...keep shuffling those songs on your iPod..

Eight Questions to ask when booking your disc jockey - Hudson Valley Wedding & Party DJ's

Hiring a disc jockey or the entertainment for your wedding or event is one of the most important aspects of your function. Let's face it, the music and entertainment provided will have a major impact on whether your  event is considered a success or not in your guests minds.

Here are eight questions to ask when booking your entertainment for your Hudson Valley wedding, Sweet 16, party or occasion.

1 - Do you provide a written contract?
Get your event confirmed in writing. This is important so that terms are clearly defined and you know what is expected of you in addition to what you expect from the entertainment. If they don't have a contract or agreement, keep searching!

2 - Are you insured?
You should have the confidence that the DJ you hire will show up for your event. Insurance will give you protection, and also gives the DJ protection for their equipment.

3 - Do you have backup equipment and DJ's?
This is a huge question! Even professional equipment can fail, through no fault of their own. Don't let this end your Hudson Valley party early! Make sure that your entertainment company brings backup equipment and there is backup DJ in the case of an illness. Many companies will schedule two individuals to work an event, this is a great way to ensure backup DJs. Another way is to ask your entertainer if they are part of the Hudson Valley DJ Association. If they are a part, it allows them to call on many of the top entertainers in the area in case of an emergency.

4 - Do you use professional equipment?
There is a distinct difference between home audio shelf speakers and professional entertainment equipment The equipment a DJ uses should not be something that you know how to set up or use on a daily basis.

5 - Can I choose my own music selections?
Yes, yes, yes! You know your guests best! We are there to fill in the gaps and offer advice when you need it! Many DJs play what they want to hear, and that is the sign of not a good DJ. Be sure to discuss with your DJ your musical selections and how you envision the flow of your function. Let them know if you want them to take guest requests, not to take requests, requests from only certain individuals etc...

6 - How do you dress for the event?
The entertainment & DJ company needs to walk the walk, talk the talk, and look the part for your function, whether it be a prestigious Hudson Valley Wedding, Sweet 16, or backyard BBQ, make sure that they understand the dress code so that they are dressed appropriately and meet your requirements to fit in to the style and flair you have chosen for your function.

7 - Will the music be too loud?
Many prospective clients are always concerned with the level of the music; too loud, too soft, etc.. There is a wide variety of people that are most likely attending the event, and a professional DJ knows to keep the volume level at during those intimate times (i.e. dinner, cocktail hour etc..) and when to crank it up for the party!

8 - So what do you do, just play music?
No! This is the most important reason as to why to hire a professional entertainer! Let's be honest anyone can show up with two iPods and play music. The fact that your professional can play all the music, MC the event and coordinate with all the vendors is a very important part of your day, specifically with Weddings and Sweet 16s. Make sure you have an entertainer who is willing to do the work to ensure that your function is run as smoothly as possible!

7th & 8th Grade Dance - Wappingers Falls, NY - 2/18/10

Enriquez Entertainment, the home of the Hudson Valley's Most Dynamic Party DJ's were out on a Thursday night partying with some really cool 7th and 8th graders! We had a blast! The kids were all about  the music and we could barely keep up with their requests from Journey's "Don't Stop Believing" to Ke$ha's "Tik Tok", Enriquez Entertainment brought the beats and made sure the party was one the students' never would forget! Valentine's Day Dinner Dance at The Grandview - 2/14/10

What an incredible night! The Hudson Valley's Most Dynamic Wedding DJ's and Party entertainment company was out for the 2nd straight year for The Grandview's Annual Valentine's Day Dinner Dance! In just the second year, we sold it out! - 486 people came to party with one of the best Hudson Valley's DJ and Entertainment companies! From the very beginning we knew this night was going to be one to remember. With the full ambient lighting set up in red, to the gobo wishing everyone a Happy Valentine's Day rotating on the dance floor, an amazing time was had by all. The crowd was intense and didn't leave the dance floor all night. From some salsa and merengue, to the Jackson 5, to Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, and Journey, until the Black Eyed Peas and LMFAO towards the end of the night... the beats didn't stop! We also made sure to get all those special songs so that the couples could slow dance with their loved one on The Grandview's elegant dance floor! Whether it was a slow song classic or a couple's wedding song... we were sure not to disappoint! The entire staff at the Grandview was incredible as always. Brent, Margaret, J.D. & Nicole were great (they even participated in some of the fun - i.e J.D.'s fist pumping and singing on the mic to Don't Stop Believing)! The Hudson Valley's Party DJ's were rockin' the dance floor all night long!

We want to thank all of our friends, family members, co-workers and more that came out and supported us for this event! We hope you had as much fun at this event as we did... and hope that you mark your calendar's down for the 2011 version!

Janiece's Hudson Valley Sweet 16 - 2/14/10

Having a Sweet 16 on Valentine's Day night with no school scheduled on Monday was a perfect time for Janiece to celebrate her Hudson Valley Sweet 16. Mike was ready to rock Janiece's Hudson Valley Sweet 16 from start to finish! Janiece's Sweet 16 took place at the Beekman Recreation Center and from the time we started until the time we ended 5 hours later.. the kids did not stop dancing! It was a straight party with plenty of dancing, singing along, and all the kids exhibiting their best dance moves to the New Boyz and LMFAO! What a party! We had a blast with all of you guys and hope you had as much fun with us as we did! Until next time!

After a few weeks off we were back at it again.  It's been awhile since we had a school function and the kids are always looking for a good time! They come prepared to dance their shoes off (literally) and raring to go! From the first time we dropped the beat til the moment we were told to close up shop, the kids at Wappingers Jr. High had a blast with the Hudson Valley's Most Dynamic Party & wedding DJ's. Led by Andrew and Keith, the students' rocked out all the latest music, as well as some oldies. Whether it was Justin Bieber's "Baby" or the latest track from the New Boyz, the students swallowed it up! Even the teachers' were rocking! One of the many highlights of the night had to be the dance contest to Elvis Crespo's "Suavemente" and Michael Jackson's "Thriller". We had a blast with you guys, and we'll see you again in May!

Entertainment Choices... DJ or Band? Which way to go....

There are two concrete choices to decide upon when choosing your wedding or party entertainment. Is a DJ/Entertainment company or a Band the avenue you want to go down? 


As one of the top Hudson Valley Wedding and Party DJ companies, we have performed at hundreds of events. Many times we are the only entertainers at the function, but there have been instances where a band has been with us as well. Here are a few reasons that looks at the why hiring a formidable DJ/Entertainment company from the Hudson Valley may be a better choice than a Band. Please remember to keep in mind that your event should reflect your style and what you think will have the best positive impact on your event. 


DJ's are less expensive. You could easily spend $3500 and up on a reputable band that regularly plays receptions, while the average price for a DJ is $800 to $2000 (depending on your area).

DJs act as coordinators. We usually set the pace of your event and we coordinate with the caterer, photographer, hall, and videographer, to make you event run smoothly.

Repertoire - DJ's are unlimited in the type of music that they play. From big band to current music. If it's been recorded a DJ can play it. Most DJs carry tens of thousands of tunes to choose from. Yet if a band knows 300 songs that's considered amazing. What about actual artists? Big MJ fan?  Can the band sound just like him? With a DJ, you don't have to worry about that. You always get the original version and often DJs can offer a variety of versions to suit your taste.

Current music - A DJ has the capability of playing a song the day it comes out while the band has to practice it for weeks.
